Introduction to Clay Ages 12- up:
Students will work in 3 different types of clay.
POLYMER CLAY is an oven baked clay. It comes in many colors. Students will be working with with SCULPTING III. They will work with the 3 Primary colors Green, Orange and Purple. Lightening with white and darkening with Black.
Students will create characters with this clay. (Ornaments or whatever their imagination leads them)
PAPER CLAY: Students will be working with DAS PRONTO, an air dry clay, that can be painted with acrylics paints. Students will make a head over Styrofoam and bodies will be made from a sock creating a puppet.
KILN FIRED CLAY: In this study students will learn to hand build clay that will be fired in a kiln. Pieces will be painted with acrylic paints and spray sealed. A Wonderful way to learn th basics of hand building.
This class is a 6 week course.

Introduction to Cartooning:
Students will learn many techniques to create their own characters from their own imagination. Students will be shown different drawing styles, from Disney to Anime. Students will work with pencils, Micron Ink pens, colored pencils and markers.
Animation techniques will be discussed. Students will be encouraged to draw during the week and bring in their doodles.
Class: 6 week course 120.00 plus supplies
Introduction To Acrylics 12-up
Students will learn Layout, design and color blending. Students will paint on Canvas and other materials. Subject matters will vary.

Adventures In Watercolor:
Students will create an artist’s book showcasing their unique exploration of various watercolor techniques. Techniques learned in this class include: painting on wet paper, painting on dry paper, dabbing paint with different textured materials, dripping, blowing, splattering, applying salt, contrasting color, making marks, and creating negative space.
